Kylie Smith certainly showed why she’s touted as an emerging First Australian talent in public speaking when she shadowed Maree Wilson, the Branch Head of Digital Earth Branch in the Space Division of Geoscience Australia, as Master of Ceremonies at Illuminate FNQ’s 2022 Indigenous Science Festival. With an audience including other First Nations Peoples, senior Australian and Queensland Government representatives and the American astronaut Mary Ellen Weber, Kylie had the disposition and poise as if an old hand.
