Dennis Ah-Kee, a Director of Jaragun EcoServices and Wanjuru Yidinji Elder, presented at Illuminate FNQ’s inaugural Indigenous Science Festival. Held in Cairns in 2022, this exciting initiative is developing pathways for First Australians in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Dennis’ presentation focused on Jaragun’s science program that has included partnerships with TropWATER, James Cook University, Queensland Department of Resources and Geoscience Australia to develop the knowledge and evidence base for Jaragun’s integrated catchment-to-Reef management of the Russell River catchment.
